Assistant Housekeeping Manager
Education and experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management / EPI Hospitality Diploma or
Must have minimum 5 years’ experience working in the Housekeeping Department as a Manager or Supervisory role at a guest-service Hotel/Resort or Timeshare.
Work Requirements and Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry Department.
Must read, write, and speak English, but must also speak Spanish and Papiamento. Speaking Dutch is a plus point.
Team Player, Outgoing Personality, Flexible hours of employment.
Prepare Personnel Work Schedules and Payroll compilation.
Needs to schedule daily work routines according to the forecasted room occupancy.
Personally supervise the performance of the Housekeeping and Laundry Staff on a daily basis.
Personally inspect the condition of the rooms for cleanliness and submit requests to the Maintenance Department for repairs as needed.
Experience in Budget preparation and execution.
Must maintain accurate Housekeeping Department logs, records and reports that will need to be made available to Management upon request.
Leadership and communication skills in managing Supervisors along with
training and motivating a multicultural work force.
Must possess highly structured organizational skills and be
tech savvy with multiple types of computer programs.
